Size and Status Certifications

At both the Federal and State level, there are countless programs available to help small and disadvantaged businesses get a leg up on the competition. Some government contracts are set aside entirely for these businesses. Some solicitations will provide a preference to encourage award to qualifying businesses. And even when contracts are awarded to large businesses, they will often require the contractor to subcontract work to small and disadvantaged businesses.
