State & Local Procurement
For companies looking to secure government contracts, it’s important to remember that the federal government isn’t the only game in town. State and local governments (including state-owned educational institutions) can be a lucrative source of contracts to almost any industry.
That’s the good news.
The bad news is that – unlike the relatively centralized and standardized world of federal procurement – state and local procurement is a hodgepodge of different systems and policies. It isn’t always clear where to look for opportunities, how to become eligible to participate, and how to submit a compliant (and compelling) proposal.
We will work with you to find promising state and local contracting opportunities, to implement processes to ensure you don’t miss out on future opportunities, and to draft your bid or proposal in a way that maximizes your chance of winning.
Moreover, like the GSA Schedule program, many states have multiple-award contract vehicles that serve as a pre-approval list for certain contract opportunities. Examples include Maryland’s CATS+ (for consutling and IT services) and the California Multiple Award Schedule. We can help identify whether any of these programs are right for you, and guide you through the application process.
